A Little Nothing About Me..

I keep seeing posts by bloggers who are taking this 30 Days About Me Challenge. Now, I don't know much about it, other than I love reading the posts and love learning about all these amazing bloggers!

Anyway, I was inspired to write my own, not that anyone has asked. :)

A photo from my wedding. This dip was not a pose - we were just blessed that a friend was able to catch the moment.

2 1/2 years ago I married my best friend. It was in a park, in the spring, right before one of our city's free outdoor concerts that would be our reception. To say we were broke would be an understatement. We wore blue jeans. We started the day with 37$ in our pocket. After buying our marriage certificate, we had 7$. Despite not having the steriotypical thousands of dollars most weddings cost, I truly believe mine was happier and more stress free than anyone I know. Nature was our backdrop and we were (and ARE) in love. Who needs anything more than that? <3

Sprout's birthday. Not nearly as glamorous as the wedding.

Fast forward to 2 years. Two weeks before our 2 year anniversary, we welcomed our baby boy 'Sprout' into this world. On this day, we would go to the birth center to have my water broken, since Sprout was two weeks late. My husband would make me laugh uncontrollably for nearly twenty minutes, which would start contractions, which would lead to a 4 1/2 hour labor and a vibrant baby boy.

Our little family on Thanksgiving.

Fast forward six months to Thanksgiving. We moved from our fast paced downtown life/apartment to a calmer home in the country with room to grow. Our goal is to start a small farm and sell organic produce and free range chickens/eggs. This dream has been a long time coming and I count my blessings daily that we are achieving them. Missing from this picture is my almost-tween step-son 'Tad', but to be respectful of his mother, I do not post pictures of him. He loves his baby brother and is crazy, crazy kid. ;P

I will be giving the blog a face lift come the new year. My husband and I both are graphic designers, so it's kind of pathetic the shape it's in right now. I have a few ideas and layouts in mind, mainly to make the giveaway listings easier to navigate.. but I also want to give it it's own content, which is taking a lot more thought than I anticipated. :)

I hope everyone has a blessed holiday! Be on the lookout for bigger and better things here at Lucky Mama!
